A life-changing dream
12 years ago, while living in the US, we decided to make the first step in the fulfillment of our dream of moving to the Italian country side. Our vision was to bring back to life an ancient country house, make it our home and a place to welcome guests at. With the house, we acquired a small vineyard, which became the stepping stone for us to expand to a 5 hectare (12.5 acre) winefarm. Our property in nestled in the hills that lead to the Appennini mountains, at about 400 meters above sea level. The panoramic views are breathtaking, with Mount San Vicino towering on the surrounding hills which outline the horizon. Below, the vineyard and the whole valley : manicured fields, olive groves and woods, and more vineyards. All around us, pheasants, swallows, magpies, blackbirds , with occasional sightings of deer , hares and wild boars. Our region, Marche, is renowned for its hearty and delicious cuisine, excellent wines, castles and medieval towns, art and culture, and a warm and welcoming environment.
We offer three guest rooms with king size beds. Two of them, paired in a separate wing of the floor, share a bathroom with a bathtub and shower and a large terrace overlooking the vineyard. The third room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. All three rooms are equipped with A/C. Double-pane windows provide soundproofing in an already quiet environment,

Get to know the area
You are in the middle of Central Italy
Cupramontana is a small village with a long historic background. Named after a pre-Roman fertility goddess, it stands on a 500-meter high hilltop overlooking the surrounding lower hills and valleys. Although the local economy is now a lot more varied, the natives still maintain strong roots in the farming lifestyle, its rhythm, its understanding of nature, its communal ties and its celebrations. Every season has its festivals, to which all locals participate. The local specialty, wine, is always featured. But mostly, family and friendship take center stage. The Grape Harvest festival, at the beginning of October, is the most important one. Tens of thousand of people gather to enjoy good food, wine, concerts,
Wherever you turn, you will find beautifully manicured vineyards and olive groves, but also, as you climb towards the higher mountains, more rugged terrain for hiking. And if you descend to the coast, the sandy beaches of Senigallia and the rocky coves of the Conero will offer you the opportunity to enjoy a classic Italian summer vacation - sunshine, good swims, beach restaurants and cafes.
Marches, our region, is rich in historical and artistic towns. From Urbino in the north, the seat of Duke Federico da Montefeltro, with its magnificent Renaissance palace, to Ascoli Piceno , a city entirely built in travertine with a distinct Medieval flavor, the region is studded with beautiful towns and village, all going back to a distant past, all well maintained and unique in their individual charm. We are also next door to Umbria - the world renowned towns of Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, are within easy reach for a day trip. Whether you are in for a food and wine tour in a gorgeous setting, or for a cultural experience in an area rich in art and architecture, you are in the right place.
Discovering excellent wines
Our area specializes in wine making. It is a tradition and a set of skills that goes back to a very ancient time, and it is made possible by its well-exposed and well drained slopes, ideal for quality wine-farming. Nowadays, the old traditions and ways have been complemented by modern techniques and a drive for excellence which makes of the Castelli di Jesi area a prime playground for wine lovers and enthusiasts. Join us for a wine-tasting evening, or go on your own wine hunt. We'll be happy to show you the way.
